...we shredded our own cheese.
Now that's a sentence I never thought I would utter.
2 x 1.5" block.

107/365 The Adventures of Harry Lime

107/365 The Adventures of Harry Lime, a photo by Mule Hill on Flickr.
106! Numbered incorectly due to problems using updated flickr. Also missing commentary for same reason. Gack

101/365 Mr. Hand
2" block.
Since flickr went down the crapper, I can only upload using my phone app. Cannot access groups via app and cannot alter privacy function anywhere but that app. Unfortunately, it doesn't always upload to this blog. Had to do it separately. Oh, the horror.
Speaking of said app, it wants to update to that pedestrian black background. I can never again update my app. There really should be an opt out for the black. It has no place in art.
I'm writing a book titled 1994. It's about incompetence in graphic design. /

96/365 FOAD flickr
2 x 2.5" block.
FOAD. Your nineties' adolescent boy aesthetic has given me a brain bleed. Grade 4, MF.
HIGH CONTRAST IS BAD. ALTERING FUNCTIONALITY IS BAD. But, but we gave the parasites who have never paid for our services a free terabyte! We's are the Fabelhaft!!! Quatch.
I'm gonna hang with Weezie in the deluxe apartment in the sky-y. All those shades of gold and beige are soothing in comparison to this mess. Sincerely. We're watching the Jeffersons and making honkies jokes at your expense. Tschüss!

95/365 Exhausted Arms
2" block.
I do have commentary for this block but it's a rant of video game size proportions. Your lucky day. You have been spared.

Create 365
Create 365
All of the 365 groups I looked at were about photography and not the item being photographed. This group is about the item.

89. Scraps
2" block.
Life is chaos now so I'm enjoying random scrap blocks. When things settle down, I will go back to paper piecing or applique.

87. Like a night without stars...
2" block.
I've made a lot of stars over the years. Thought I liked them. I don't remember making any during my 365. Maybe I hate them. No stars! Lots of stripes.

86. Strips
2" block.
I always see terrier patterns in things. That's some odd confirmation bias you got there, kid. Yep.

82. Another Variation
1 3/4" block.
When I'm not on a shopping diet, I sometimes buy sewing kits on sale just for the fabrics. All of these prints came from one kit.

81. Craftsy BOM Scraps
2" block.
Cool distortion, bro. Even the cutting mat distorted. Color's all right though.

80. House as Fortification
A little longer than two inches by a little longer than one inch. Or, there abouts.
Block inspired by block of same name in Civil War Anniversary Quilts by Rosemary Youngs. A book! How retro (and attractive -- two thumbs up).
Long like a wall. Seems appropriate as I am trying to pack up an estate. Speaking of labor, I am off. Back tomorrow for 81/365.
Twisted Sisters
2" blocks. Unpressed.
It's supposed to be Twin Sisters but I've always thought it would suit the Borden girls in a nice red and white.
My shopping diet has been successful. I am down to the nastiest, scratchiest red fabric. I can't believe it's cotton. Dries out my hands just like wool knitting. Wish I could remember where I bought it and who makes it.
For the next month, I should limit myself to my 365 project only. Busy. Should limit. Should.
We'll see.

And the sashing looks like a lovely rash. :ox
Borrowing the name from a Rosemary Youngs CW book.

I also like the Nancy Cabot thirties version without the corner triangles.
